What are trapped emotions?

When we experience severe trauma or a long period of feeling one emotion, it gets trapped in our bodies.

“This trapped emotion causes imbalances in our body. And these imbalances cause symptoms.”

Kinds of trapped emotions

Own trapped emotion

In life you experience traumatic and stressful situations. These experiences cause emotions to lodge in the body as “negative energy”. In order to release these emotions, it needs to be brought to consciousness.

Compound Traumas Trauma

When two powerful negative emotions are felt at the same time and gets lodged. In order to release the emotion fully, both emotions need to be identified and released.

Pre-conceived

Your own emotions, before you were born. This may seem strange, but many believe that our souls lived in a world before this one. Whether this is true or not, this type of trapped emotion is proven (scientifically) to be lodged in a body. It is a trapped emotion of extreme grief or fear of coming to earth.

Inherited

This trapped emotion can be carried down from one generation to another (as DNA is passed along from one generation to another). This trapped emotion is passed down at the moment of conception. Two important things to know about trapped emotions:

  1. We need to determine if it came from you mother or father’s side and how many generations back in order to release it.

  2. Once the inherited trapped emotion is released on you, it will release on all living relatives who received the trapped emotions.

Pre-Natal

Lodges due to intense emotions a pregnant mother feels. Because a mother shares a body with the unborn child, the emotion also lodges in the infant’s body. This usually occurs in the 3rd trimester (but has been found in 1st and 2nd trimester as well.)

Heart Wall

It is proven 93% of people have a heart wall. The heart is the only organ that feels all emotions. In order to protect itself, the body builds up a “heart wall” of any excess energy that it can find in the body. Excess energy is mostly found in the form of trapped emotions.  Each trapped emotion is a layer of the heart wall. Every Trapped emotion can be a different distance.

  • Causes of the heart wall:

    • Block the ability to give and receive love

    • Creates depression and other emotional problems

    • Blocks you from success (abundance block)

    • Interferes with prosperity

    • Physical effect: chest, neck, shoulder pain

    • Emotional: numbness, depressions, and relationship difficulty

How do we identify a trapped emotion?

We begin by talking through what you are currently experiencing. Together, we identify the emotions you are feeling, the experiences that may have shaped them and any recurring patterns in your life. We explore where the feeling may have started, which beliefs have become connected to it and how it may be influencing your choices, relationships and ability to move forward.

The session is led through life coaching, trauma-pattern recognition and honest conversation. We work through the places where you feel stuck, while supporting deep inner healing, character growth and greater personal responsibility. The aim is not only to understand what happened to you, but also to help you recognise what is still affecting you and what you can begin doing differently.

If you find it difficult to identify or put words to what you are feeling, muscle testing may be used as an additional tool to help guide the process.

When we experience severe trauma or a long period of feeling one emotion, it gets trapped in our bodies. This trapped emotion causes imbalances in our bodies, and these imbalances cause symptoms.
